With bold colors, simplified forms, and recurring characters, Mischief celebrates imagination, messiness, and the unexpected joy hidden in everyday life. At its heart, the collection is a tribute to the carefree spirit of childhood and the inspiration my nephew continues to bring to my work.
Each painting captures the wonder of seeing life through a child’s eyes a place where a poodle might emerge from a sundae, a toddler might dive headfirst into a swirl of ice cream, and simple moments become grand adventures. The playful scenes are filled with humor, nostalgia, and a sense of freedom that encourages viewers to step away from seriousness and embrace delight.

As children, ordinary things could become anything. A piece of candy could feel enormous, a toy could become an entire world, and imagination didn’t need to make sense to feel real. Somewhere along the way, life becomes more structured, more practical, and a lot more serious.
This collection brings some of that freedom back.
